The US suspends the crossing of vehicles from Mexico due to a greater migratory flow – El Sol de México

The United States temporarily suspended this Monday the processing of vehicles from Mexico in it Eagle Pass International Bridge 1 (Texas), and reduced it in Lukeville (Arizona) to allocate more personnel to the processing of undocumented migrants.

“The United States continues to see increased levels of migrant encounters at the southwest border,” US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said in a statement.

He pointed out that this flow is fed “by the human traffickers who spread disinformation to prey on vulnerable individuals and encourage migration.

With the suspension of operations in Eagle Pass and the reduction in Lukeville, which began at 9:00 p.m., the reassigned officers will support the Border Patrol to take into custody the migrants.

CBP added that in response to this increased flow, the agency will continue to “strengthen all available resources to process migrants expeditiously and safely.”
