But thanks to the fact that I have been able to play some roles in this area, I recognized everything that surrounds politics, as well as the things that I don’t like and that don’t work, the things that don’t seem loyal to me,” said the actor in interview.
Today, De la Vega maintains his interest in promoting changes in society, but he no longer seeks this within any position, but through artistic projects.
“In our country, politics has become a business, the truth is that I do not completely trust any party, I do not believe that there is a credible and reliable voice within Mexican politics, but I use my work as a way to contribute something so that people understand and especially the new generations, so that they know what has happened in the last 50 years and a change can be generated,” he expressed. the actor.
In National Family, De La Vega gives life to prosecutor Vallarta, a character that represents all the evils of the political union. “It is a Mexican Western in a farcical tone, about how this family cell that is supposedly positive, decomposes, like the entire social fabric, it is a portrait of our Mexican reality, only we approach it in a more folksy way, in a comedy tone, it is very interesting.”
The movie features the performances of Gilberto Barraza, Silvia Navarro, Jero Medina, Claudia Ríos, and Iván Amozurrutia, among others. The premiere of this project will be next December 28 in cinemas.
