The State Government announced that the new home of the emblematic giraffe from Ciudad Juárez, Benito, will be in the state of Puebla.
Through a press release, it was made official that the specimen will be transferred to the ecological park and reserve known as African Safarithis due to the efforts made by Governor María Eugenia Campos.
“For weeks, contact was established with the Africam Safari wildlife conservation park, in Valsequillo, Puebla, with the aim of making that space its new home,” the statement says.
According to the statement, the decision was made after numerous evaluations and efforts, listening to the genuine concern of the citizens of Juárez for the life of the specimen, which from the beginning was welcomed with great affection.
African Safari reported that they are ready to receive Benito, so the relocation will take place as soon as the corresponding documents by federal authorities.
In the statement, the state administration extended its gratitude to the park for its willingness to receive the giraffe, in a space that without a doubt It will be beneficial for the specimen.
Due to the above, it is expected that, in the coming days, the pending documentation will be received from the federal authorities to successfully carry out Benito’s transfer to your new habitat.
