Alfredo Jalife’s arrest was not to restrict his freedom of expression: CDMX Prosecutor’s Office – El Sol de México

The Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office responded through a statement that only participated at the request of the Nuevo León Prosecutor’s Office in relation to the arrest warrant completed to the analyst Alfredo Jalife.

In the document he specified that Jalife’s arrest was requested and issued in the state of Nuevo León by a complaint presented in that entity.

“The participation of our institution was only at the request of the Attorney General’s Office of Nuevo León, as part of the protocol of inter-institutional collaboration,” said the security agency.

Likewise, the capital’s prosecutor’s office stated that “it is absolutely false that the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City has requested his arrest to restrict their freedom of expression.”
