The President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is about to finish his term, which began in 2018 when he emerged victorious in his third run for president.
During this six-year term, Lopez Obrador has given every year, on September 1st, a presidential report in which he reveals the results of his work as head of the Executive.
This report would be the last before Lopez Obrador hands over the presidency to Claudia Sheinbaum Pardowho recently received her certificate as Mexico’s elected candidate.
When is AMLO’s last report?
In previous days, the president invited all citizens to his latest government report, that will be carried out this Sunday on the Zócalo square in the capital at 10:00 in the morning.
“Since it won’t be long, there will be chairs, but in any case, come prepared with water, an umbrella, a cap, a hat or a hat,” he said on his social networks.
For this reason, hundreds of chairs were placed in the Plaza de la Constitución for people who want to attend the event.
The perimeter is already fenced and street vendors are already setting up their stalls to sell all kinds of souvenirs such as caps, t-shirts, mugs and stuffed animals.
On September 30th at 11:59 am, AMLO will officially cease to be the President of Mexico and, on Tuesday, October 1st, which will be an official day off for the succession of the Federal Executive Branch, the new government will take office.
