AMLO denies that judicial reform will generate economic instability – El Sol de México

The President Andres Manuel Lopez Obradorrejected this Saturday that the approval of the reform of the judiciarywhich is about to be discussed in the Senate, will generate economic instability as has been speculated.

“Until today, the peso has not been devalued with us, of course we have about 20 days left and they are trying to confuse us by saying that there is a lot of instability, because we are going to carry out judicial reform. What fear are they going to have, if what we want is to end corruption, to banish corruption?” said the president from Quintana Roo, in the southeast of Mexico.

During the inauguration of the Jaguar National Park and Museum of the Eastern Coast, in which he was accompanied by the President-elect Claudia Sheinbaumagain defended the initiative that was approved on Wednesday by deputies and is now about to be discussed in the Senate to become law.

“(The opposition) is there, trying to stop this reform that is essential because we have to end the revolving door,” he said.

He pointed out that when a criminal is put in jail, after the work it takes to arrest him and the risk to the lives of police officers and members of the police Armed forcesjudges often release them, especially on weekends.

“Pure ‘sabadazo’, a judge orders his release, we do not want that to continue happening in our country,” he added.
