During the first day of the Paralympic athletics competition, which is taking place at the Stade de France, Rosa María achieved her best mark of the season, which allowed him to climb onto the podium.

The thrower’s records were 24.99, 25.22, 25.81, 25.05, 19.49 and 24.93 meters. In this way, Guerrero revalidated the bronze medal he obtained in the competition that took place in Tokyo 2020 in this same test.

“I am very happy to have achieved what I achieved today. The weather conditions were not good, but I knew how to concentrate and keep my sights on my goal, which was to be on the podium,” said the Paralympic athlete.

“I feel very happy to be back on the podium. Believe me, I do it with great pride, representing my state, representing my country. For me it is an honour, it is a great satisfaction and above all because I represent not only my country, but I represent my entire family.”

He added that all the support he received from his family and the sports authorities were key to winning the third place medal.

“I had some very difficult moments, but there are people around me who supported me. I have a triangle that is my family, my partner and my coach. They guide me to this step, to guide me to each competition, to focus, to be very objective and to be very disciplined.”
