Luis Cresencio Sandoval, head of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), assured the members of the Chamber of Deputies that the Army will continue to be one of the pillars of stability in Mexico.

During his speech at the solemn session of San Lázaro to commemorate the 200 years of the Heroic Military College, the head of the Sedena said that the graduates of the armed institute will act in favor of Mexico as they did in Guerrero to address the ravages of Hurricane Otis that It struck Acapulco on November 25.

“We can be sure that with the actions of the officers graduated from this staff, the armed institute will continue to be one of the pillars of stability, democracy and national unity. Under that premise we will continue to strengthen the trust that Mexicans give us, maintaining loyalty to the institutions, enforcing at all times the regulatory framework that governs us but above all we will continue to accompany the people of Mexico,” said Cresencio Sandoval.

The head of the Sedena said that the decisions of the legislators govern the actions of the Army, Air Force and National Guard, which he said is “for the sake of the security of Mexicans and also to decisively support national development,” and He stressed that each soldier respects them for coming from the Legislative Branch, which “represents the voice and feelings of our nation and with whom we act throughout the country with a single objective: the well-being of each Mexican.”

After the solemn session, the legend “2023: Year of the Bicentennial of the Military College” was inscribed on the Wall of Honor of San Lázaro, a legend that is also already inscribed in the Senate of the Republic.
