Presidents Joe Biden and Andrés Manuel López Obrador began their meeting in San Francisco, California, to discuss fentanyl trafficking and the immigration crisis that is shaking the border between the United States and Mexico.
This meeting takes place on the sidelines of the annual summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC), a bloc to which both countries belong.
The last meeting between both leaders occurred in January within the framework of the North American Leaders Summit that was held in Mexico.
