The incoming and outgoing governments of the Mexico City presented at the Old Town Hall to its cadres of officials who will be in charge of the transition, which will be governed by rules published today by the Official Gazette capital.
Cesar Craviotothe next Secretary of Government, will lead the team of Clara Brugadathe elected head of the capital’s Government, who will receive the administrative details, the other members are Araceli Damián, Juan Pablo De Botton and Alejandro Encinas who will be heads of the secretariats of Inclusion and Social Welfare, Administration and Finance, and Planning, Territorial Planning and Metropolitan Coordination, respectively, as well as Eréndira Cruzvillegas Fuentes, who will serve as legal advisor and Legal Services.
On the side of the outgoing government, that of Marti Batres GuadarramaThe team that will deliver the accounts is Ricardo Ruiz Suárez, Secretary of Government and head of the transition team, followed by Inti Muñoz, Secretary of Urban Development and Housing, Bertha Gómez Castro, Secretary of Administration and Finance, Juan Gerardo López, Secretary of Inclusion and Social Welfare and although Juan José Serrano, Comptroller of the local government, was not present, he will also participate in the transition.
The agreement published in the Official Gazette of Mexico City to govern the transfer of local public administration, has 14 chapters, and the first of them states that the incoming government will know in a general way, through this process, “the state of the human, material, and financial resources assigned to the Public Administration of Mexico City, as well as the programs, projects, budgets, buildings, public works, and acquisitionspending matters, jurisdictional matters, audits, reconstruction of the city and other relevant matters corresponding to the period 2018-2024.”
Next comes the question of who will be the officials who will make up the Transition Commission and the work programme, as well as the dates of the meetings, will be agreed upon by the participants in the process.
