Buen Fin 2023: 7 out of every 10 purchases were with cash – El Sol de México

In a press conference, the manager highlighted that the figures were calculated by the Center for Economic Studies of the Private Sector (CEESP). However, he highlighted that the SE observed good dynamism during the so-called cheapest weekend of the year.

The reported figure was not only higher than that recorded in Buen Fin 2022, but also exceeded the expectations of private organizations such as the National Association of Self-Service and Department Stores (ANTAD)which expected sales of 141 billion pesos.

Octavio de la Torre, treasurer of the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco Servytur), stated that in at least seven out of 10 companies sales were made with cash.

Therefore, he said that there is an area of ​​opportunity to promote new payment methods in the country, both for its safety and comfort for users.

Electronics, clothing, footwear and automotive items were of the most consumed products during the thirteenth edition of Buen Fin.

“The results of the edition are positive for the reactivation of our sector, so we reaffirm the call for people to continue consuming local products and services,” the manager mentioned.
