A dead soldier and two injured he left a military confrontation against a armed group in the municipality of Chinaabout 100 kilometers east of Monterrey.
Pedro Arce, in charge of the office of the Prosecutor’s Office, confirmed the events that occurred during the early hours of the morning in the area adjacent to the state of Tamaulipas and close to the border with Texas.
“It is a direct attack against elements of the Armed Forces, of the Mexican Army. Unfortunately there is one element of the Army deceased and two injured. The Civil Force personnel, the State Agency of Investigations and Experts are already collecting the evidence,” Arce explained.
The events were recorded between 2:00 and 3:00 in the morning when The Army carried out patrol work in that region.
So far, it has not been specified whether the attackers belong to any cartel that operates in the town.
The head of the Nuevo León Prosecutor’s Office explained that the investigations and investigations will continue so that the authorities find the people responsible for this attack against the agents.
He reiterated that they will continue with the different security operations in the fight against organized crime.
