Five people have gone missing and one has been rescued after a helicopter crashed into the Douro River in Portugal, a source from the Portuguese National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority told EFE.
The Civil Protection source said that they are currently searching for the missing persons.
Portuguese media outlets Porto Canal and Sic Notícias reported that the helicopter was involved in the firefighting operation, which crashed near the municipality of Peso da Régua in the north of the country, some 95 kilometres east of Porto.
