For the second time, a judge from Morelos orders the suspension of discussion of judicial reform – El Sol de México

For the second time, The Fifth District Judge in Cuernavaca, Morelos, granted a suspension so that the new Legislature of the Chamber of Deputies abstains to discuss and vote on the judicial reform opinion.

This article refers to a constitutional reform opinion that was given a first reading before the Plenary, but that It was not discussed in a Legislature; will be under the protection of the Board of Directors of the new Legislature. In the judicial resolution proposed by the judge, the constitutionality of said article will be analyzed.

Last Saturday, August 31, the same judge ordered the Chamber of Deputies to abstain from discussing and voting on judicial reform.l.

In the resolution published this Tuesday, Judge Magaña López determined that “It is legally feasible to grant the suspension requested by the complainants”; therefore, according to this file, the Chamber could not discuss the ruling.

The precautionary measure imposed by the justice authority also states that the reform initiative “will not have any effect on the complainants.”

In this new determination, Magaña set 11:25 a.m. on September 5 to hold the incidental hearing; IThe court gave a 24-hour period for the authorities designated as responsible (the Presidency and the Chamber of Deputies) to report on compliance with the suspension.

This decision can still be challenged before a Collegiate Court by means of a complaint filed by the authorities identified as responsible.
