From the pen of Carlos Esparza Deister | December longings – El Sol de México

During this season, desires for the next year arise, for example, achieving an important promotion at work; establish the desired business; being able to close a big sale; finally achieve financial freedom; improve physical condition or health; get a newer car; acquire a new house or at least remodel the current one, but they soon forget about it, letting themselves be carried away by the flow of the daily routine and everything returns to “normal.”

Something similar happens with the electoral promises of politicians, who never tire of promising, especially the spiel that they are not equal to their predecessors, but in the end many end up doing the same and sometimes they even turn out worse… and they return to the ” normal”.

In a few days a new year begins and our public servants at all levels have pending matters, for example, President López Obrador must hand over his position peacefully, of course, if it is Claudia Sheinbaum, that will be the case, but if not her, the country would shake, of course Claudia is at the head of the polls, but anything can happen. Likewise, you must finish the promised projects in the best way and not pretend to finish them, for example, the Mayan Train, which needed more “cooking”, and you already put it on the table, because time is of the essence. The absurd promise that during his term the massacres would end will obviously not be fulfilled and as an example, the recent massacre of 11 young people that occurred in Salvatierra, Guanajuato. Of course, he will always have other information. Our governor also has insecurity as a pending issue, the violence that was generated this year is too much. For himself, perhaps this year he lacked greater rapprochement with the community and with the mayors of the 67 municipalities, visiting those regions more often. Although now we did not have “La Golondrina y su Príncipe”, Mayor Bonilla must close his mandate at full steam, focusing of course on insecurity, but also on providing quality urban transportation, in addition to infrastructure, for example, what is will do with the unfinished parking lot of the Niño Héroes and Carranza, because, although they put a beautiful Ferris wheel in the Plaza del Ángel, that black work casts a shadow over the entire historic center.

Perhaps another of the citizens’ December wishes is to have intelligent, honest, committed, helpful and sensitive officials. It is complicated, but hopefully, of course, as citizens we must also do things better, to achieve a better society, we must be solidarity, behave with honesty, responsibility, a lot of tolerance and respect, almost the same thing that we demand of politicians.

Dear reader, have a very Merry Christmas and remember that December wishes will never come alone, you have to put in effort and dedication.
