Gloria García Luna and Edgar Anuar Rodríguez Garcíasister and nephew of the former federal Secretary of Public Security, Genaro García Lunawere linked to proceedings for their probable responsibility in the crimes of money laundering and organized crime.
Both went arrested on December 14 by elements of the Federal Ministerial Police, of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC), who completed the arrest warrant.
During a hearing, the District Judge Specialized in the Accusatory Criminal System, assigned to the Federal Criminal Justice Center in the State of Mexico, with residence in Almoloya de Juárez, granted the link to the process upon receiving sufficient evidence from the Federal Public Ministry.
Furthermore, the judge issued the precautionary measure of Justified preventive detention and six months for complementary investigation.
Gloria Garcia Luna will be admitted to the 16 Women’s Social Reintegration Center in Moreloswhile Edgar Anuar Rodríguez García will remain imprisoned in maximum security prison of the Altiplano in the State of Mexico.
