At the end of the ceremony, depp was one of those in charge of carrying the wicker coffin, covered in red roses and with a black and white photograph of MacGowanover his shoulder.

The actor’s gesture is due to the closeness they maintained, since in their friendship of more than three decades, Johnny even produced the biopic of MacGowan who he said, when presenting the film project at the San Sebastian Festival, left him “fascinated with his language” and its “powerful songs.
