The Organization of the United Nations (UN) appointed the Mexican diplomat Juan Manuel Gómez-Robledo Verduzco as the new judge of the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
Gómez-Robledo Verduzco was Mexico’s ambassador to France from 2016 to 2021, although since 1988 he was already part of the Mexican foreign service.
