ANDThe Metropólitan Theater became a dance floor nightclub during the concert Kika Edgar, “Party with the Only International Sound Festival by Arturo Ortiz and Antonio Méndez”, in front of an enthusiastic audience.

“I am very happy. This is a dream, a great opportunity to live with you, to have a partyhave fun and fill our hearts with color, light, magic,” said the Tamaulipas native at the start of the show.

The musical concept was born from the invitation made by La Única Internacional Sonora to participate in one of their duet productions and it was in a past performance of the musicians Arturo Ortiz (percussion) and Antonio Méndez (trumpet), that they invited her to sing the songs that Sonia López had done in the past.

In pairs they left their seats, and most of the Attendees danced during the concert that included 30 songs, 12 of which were in charge of Kika Edgar.

“Of many female artists who have come on stage with us, Kika is the one who has met all expectations, especially in the vocal field; you have surpassed them. We love you very much,” said the vocalist-host of the group on behalf of all the musicians.

The place stopped being a theater and instead moved into a lounge atmosphere, enjoying the thirty songs that began with “La boa” and “El mudo.”

The third song on the list, and the first for Kika Edgar alone, was “El nido” and in her voice we heard other hits such as “Mi caprichito”, “Pena negra”, “El ladrón”, “Corazón de acero”, “Piel canela”, “Pedacito de mi vida” and “Mil horas”.

The musicians, icons of tropical music, performed songs from the Santana repertoire such as “Yolanda,” “Perfume de gardenias,” “Luces de Nueva York,” “Bomboro quiñá” and “Saca la botella.”
