Crespo Castro He was illegally fired on May 6 for reporting violations of labor rights at the company.

His dismissal constituted a denial of his rights to freedom of association and genuine collective bargaining. The wages lost since his illegal dismissal, as well as the benefits he should have earned, must be fully covered, reported the legal advisor of the League, lawyer Pablo Franco.

He said that the procedure, protected by the Labor Chapter of the T-MEC, gives this first positive result.

In this way, the existence of equal conditions must be guaranteed so that the League can carry out information, advisory and support activities for its members. The necessary facilities must also be provided so that the League can carry out its union activities within the workplace, both by its special delegates and by its national representation and its advisory team.

“No one should ever again be subject to repression for making their sympathy with the LSOM known. Furthermore, the CTM union must be prevented from carrying out sabotage activities through disinformation, slander, insults or any kind of violence,” he stressed.
