The FGR points out that, so far, the whereabouts of Ovidio Guzmán, son of El Chapo and protagonist of the so-called “culiacanazos” are unknown.
In a statement, the FGR stated:
“The FGR has obtained evidence of a chronological sequence, which begins with the release of Ovidio “G” from a high-security prison in the US prison system, on July 23, 2024, (two days before the alleged kidnapping of Ismael “N”).”
In the same document, the Prosecutor’s Office warns: “the current status of said person and his location within the United States are unknown at this time.”
The FGR also stated that the United States Attorney General confirmed to Mexican authorities the version that Zambada García was taken against his will to the United States.
