The President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador He assured that the relationship with the United States and Canada continues, despite the fact that yesterday he said that he would pause the relationship with the ambassadors of those countries due to the criticism they made of his judicial reform.
“The relationship with the governments continues, with Canada and the United States,” said the Tabasco native, while referring to the “pause” by saying that “it is only with the embassies, especially with the ambassador of Canada (Graeme Clark) and the United States (Ken Salazar), because it is not their place to give opinions on matters that only concern Mexicans.”
In his morning press conference, the president considered that the international reaction against his judicial reform could respond to economic interests.
“I wonder why they are intervening so much in this matter that concerns Mexicans? I can’t find a logical explanation, although sometimes what doesn’t sound logical sounds metallic,” said the president this Wednesday at his morning press conference.
