CULIACAN. From National Palacein Mexico City, the governor of Sinaloa, Ruben Rocha Moyaminimized the violent acts that occurred on Thursday in Culiacán, assuring that it was an incident that had no further consequences.

Rocha Moya assured that the state is calm despite the clashes and burning of vehicles that were registered on Thursday afternoon in the rural area of ​​Culiacán, in the Limón de los Ramos community and the municipality of Jesus Maria.

That statement was made by the state leader upon arriving at National Palace, where he explained that the violence It broke out because a Mexican Army patrol came across a pickup truck armed civilians who started the aggression and carried out the street blockades with trucks and set vehicles on fire.

“It was an incident, but it has no further consequences. An Army patrol was found with a pickup truck armed people So that was it. Sinaloa is doing very well, it is calm,” said the president.

For his part, the mayor of Culiacán, Juan de Dios Gámez Mendívil, said that the city woke up calmly on Friday and called on people to go out normally to carry out their daily activities.

Likewise, the mayor reiterated that Culiacán is in a state of calm and resuming its daily activities, so he indicated that coordination between the three levels of government will be maintained to prevent any outbreak or rebound of violence.

“The feeling is that we must always remain vigilant,” he said.
