SAT gives extension for issuance of Carta Porte 3.0 – El Sol de México

He Tax Administration Service (SAT) extended until March 31, 2024 the deadline for taxpayers to issue their bills with the new version of the plugin Carriage Letter.

In a statement, the organization explained that the extension It is in order that all taxpayers can be adapted to the new version of the Shipping Letter 3.0since the original deadline was December 31, 2023.

In this way, users will be able to continue issuing invoices with the version of Waybill 2.0 in the coming months, as they continue to migrate their data and gradually adapting their systems.

This document is mandatory since January 2022 and serves to protect the transfer of goods or merchandise in the country, since it contains information about the destination, means of transportation, location of origin, among other security data.

“The information recorded in the complement Carriage Letter is protected by the tax secret and helps strengthen formal trade, combat smuggling and unfair competition, as it regularizes commercial operations related to transport services“, specified the SATof Antonio Martínez Dagnino.

It should be noted that on December 31, 2023, the extension of the non-application of fines and sanctions to those who did not issue their Digital Tax Receipts over the Internet (CFDI) with complement Carriage Letter.
