Citizen movement has generated controversy by confirming that the controversial businessman and actor Roberto Palazuelos“The Black Diamond” will be one of the orange party candidates to the Senate of the Republic.
Palazuelos He announced the news through his Instagram account, where he uploaded a publication in which he is accompanied by the national leader of the Citizen Movement, Dante Delgadowhom he thanked for his support and trust.

Discontent due to this latest movement of the party occurred even within the Citizen Movement. The senator Patricia Mercadopointed out that he is against Palazuelos being a pre-candidate for the Senate of the Republic.
The senator maintains that a space cannot be granted to a person who has “confessed crimes on television”. Furthermore, he announced that, for now, Palazuelos is only a candidate for said candidacy. And he remembered that there is possibility of rejecting the pre-candidacy in accordance with the internal bodies of the Citizen Movement.

“That decision will be made next year and my vote will be against,” Mercado said.

The controversy surrounding the “Black Diamond” is due to the fact that in an interview with Yordi Rosado, he said that a friend, who owns parking lots, asked him for a favor after the Cometra company refused to pay the money collected by the parking lots.
