In an armed attack that occurred this Monday morning in the capital of Zacatecas was assassinated the president of the Regional Livestock Union of Zacatecas (UGRZ), Cuauhtémoc Rayas Escobedo.
The Secretary General of the State Government, Rodrigo Reyes Mugüerza confirmed the death of the leader, which occurred inside a veterinary clinic located on San Marcos Avenue from the state capital.
“At this time, all law enforcement agencies are carrying out an effort to find those responsible,” the official reported shortly after 11:30 a.m.

The official expressed his solidarity with family and friends of Rayes Escobedo, and stressed that, Despite these facts, the state government will not give up on the process of pacification of the entity: “We will not allow this or any other case to go unpunished.”
