The legacy of Lopez Obrador in Puebla – The Sun of Mexico

There is no doubt that when you want, you can, and when you are committed, you can achieve important progress, such as that obtained over six years by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. This weekend, the president shared details of the actions that have transformed and sown significant progress in the country.

Without a doubt, we recognize the work of President López Obrador as a precursor of Mexican Humanism, who, during six years of transformation, has carried out great actions to combat corruption, confronting large neoliberal corporations and always putting first the principle of the Fourth Transformation under the motto “For the good of all, the poor first.”

During this time, the principles of the Fourth Transformation have been upheld: do not lie, do not steal and do not betray, setting important goals to successfully carry out work with transparent actions, progress and development, especially for young people, the elderly, women and the most unprotected.

In this six-year term, under her mandate, the state of Puebla obtained important benefits, advances and achievements that allowed a palpable transformation within the framework of the 4T. These achievements will be followed up and continued in the new administration that will be headed by Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum. In this follow-up, which means the continuity of the Fourth Transformation, it is essential to work so as not to disappoint the trust that the people have placed in us.

The entity will be consolidated as a major logistics and communication hub with the Interoceanic Train, which will connect the south with the north and the Pacific with the Gulf of Mexico, with Puebla as its central point. The railway route, which will start in Mexico and pass through Puebla and Veracruz, will bring tourism, commercial and employment development, benefiting the Magical Towns and indigenous communities.

These communities will be supported by actions from a comprehensive plan that includes more and better electrification services, schools, hospitals and roads, as well as greater technological connectivity for Puebla families in the region and metropolitan areas that have been forgotten for years.

It is clear that the health of those who have less and who live in more remote places must be taken care of. They were benefited with plans and programs such as IMSS Bienestar, which expanded its coverage in Puebla, benefiting Puebla families. Today, with the foundations laid by the president of the republic, more and better services are on the horizon.

The government of the republic that is about to end also succeeded in generating a revolution of ideas among young people. This sector has stronger and more robust programs and institutions, with the objective of encouraging and interesting young people in research and economic development as entrepreneurs, which has helped to avoid school dropouts.

This six-year term has undoubtedly left us with many lessons, with important impacts on environmental care. The Sembrando Vida program was launched, in which thousands of farmers participated to reactivate the fields, the plots and the care of the forests. This program is consolidated as the most important reforestation program worldwide.

We cannot fail to mention that the promotion of women occupied a prominent place. Single mothers and indigenous women today more than ever received support for the implementation of projects focused on their development and the maintenance of the home.

Today we are convinced that the actions are not over, as hope and commitment to continue promoting results and mobilizing consciences in this transformation are still sown.
