The US seeks to combat fentanyl trafficking in its territory with “strike force” – El Sol de México

It will also reinforce the use of Financial intelligence in order to map the financial networks of the transnational criminal organizations and fight the money laundering.

The Treasury Secretary Janet Yellenstated that the fight against fentanyl trafficking is an “absolute priority.”

“The Treasury Department Fentanyl Strike Force will allow us to leverage the Department’s unmatched experience in combating financial crimes to combat this deadly epidemic. “The Treasury will use all the tools at its disposal to disrupt the ability of drug traffickers to sell this poison in our country,” he noted.
