They capture a puma in the Sierra de Durango – El Sol de México

At a distance of just over 40 kilometers, starting from the Historic Center of Durango, approximately an hour away, is the “El Tecuán” Ecological Park, where a puma, or a mountain lion, was captured a few hours ago.

The event and the photographs were shared this morning on social networks by the Secretariat of Natural Resources and Environment.

“It registers for the first time a puma (mountain lion) in the ‘El Tecúan’ Ecological Park. The above is part of the phototrapping project between the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, in collaboration with the TECNM Guadiana Valley campus and the Arizona Game & Fish Department,” says the publication of the state agency.

And it explains that the puma or, as it is also known, the mountain lion, It is the second largest cat in America, and feeds mainly on deeralthough it can also consume wild boars, rabbits and rats.
