“There is no current intention to pursue any insolvency proceedings in Mexico. A trustee will be appointed in the United States in connection with the bankruptcy process, who will assume responsibility for supervising and liquidating the Mexican operations.

It also specifies that the salary and wages of employees and workers were assured until this week. They must have received their regular payroll by Friday, November 10.

And he points out: UFAB currently does not have sufficient funds to pay any severance and year-end bonuses.

Employees should contact their union representative for more information, “as the current UFAB administration will not have any control over the ongoing process. The administration of the bankruptcy will be the responsibility of the assigned trustee.
