Who are the contestants who are still fighting in “La Academia”? – El Sol de México

The musical reality show of TV Azteca “The Academy” It continues to develop and every Sunday a student says goodbye to the competition.

Twenty young people from Mexico and abroad came to the project. However, in the first broadcast it was decided to expel two boys, Fatima and Vetzaida.

At the second concert, two boys were expelled again, Angel and Eugene, so only 16 undertook the path to become the best voice of this generation and win a million pesos, in addition to exposure and possibly employment contracts.

“The Academy” was created 22 years ago. This is the fourteenth generation and, for many artists, it has been a platform, as Carlos Rivera, Yuridia, Myriam Montemayor, Yahir, Víctor García, Ceci de la Cueva, Esmeralda Ugalde, Nadia and Toñita.

The current competition has already progressed and so far there are 11 participants who remain in the competition. Thania Passion, Mike Leon, Leo Nava, Eduardo Meza and Flower Ramirezthey were one step away from reaching their goal.

The competitors are:

Julio Alfonso Avila

Originally from Hermosillo, Sonora, he is 20 years old and is known as “El Niño Dios” (God Child) for his angelic gaze. Dedicated to music, he entered “La Academia” to continue pursuing his dreams. If he wins, his priority would be to support his family.

Christian Salguero

Hailing from Jutiapa, Guatemala, the 22-year-old student is an accountant and singer. “I want to fulfill my family’s dream through my own dream, mainly,” he said about his reasons for entering the reality show.

Isabel Laina

From Tetitlán, Guerrero, she is 22 years old and is dedicated to music. She says that entering “The Academy” has been her dream since she was a child, and she feels happy to have achieved it, because she knows that “here I can grow both personally and professionally.” The prize, if she wins, will go to her parents.

Yesenia Guadalupe González “Yesi”

Born in San Julián, Jalisco, the 24-year-old quit her job as a surgeon to be in “The Academy.” She is part of an association called Ganas de vivir, which helps cancer patients get their medicines, to which she would donate part of the prize money, if she won.

Mar Lara

Originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, the 18-year-old singer has expressed that if she were to win first place in the reality show, she would donate the prize to various altruistic initiatives, including helping animal shelters and supporting the musical studies of girls who, like her, “want to fulfill their dream.”

Brandon Valenzuela

The 23-year-old, born in Guasave, Sinaloa, works in the fields and for him, being in “La Academia” is “a dream since I was little; seeing past generations and knowing that they can train an artist motivates me a lot.”

Edith Evangelina, “Edith Evans”

She is 24 years old from Apatzingán, Michoacán, and although she studied Psychology, she only dedicates herself to music. She is clear that if she wins, “I would like to see the basic needs that my family has and then buy better audio equipment.”

Carolina Heredia Del Toro

At 26 years old, the native of Hermosillo, Sonora, is a singer, dancer, actress, and works in musical theater. For her, being one of the participants of “La Academia” complements her artistic training. “If I win the prize, what I would do would be to put up a down payment for an apartment,” she confesses.

Santana Breeze

From Acapulco, Guerrero, he is 25 years old and sings at private events; his musical genre is urban. “Apart from being one of my greatest dreams, I want to dedicate this project to heaven because my grandparents also dreamed of this,” said the man who dreams of buying a house.

Jessy Portillo

She is 28 years old and was born in Guamúchil, Sinaloa. She studied Communication Sciences and entering “La Academia” is “the biggest dream of my life” for her. If she wins first place, she wants to move in with her father, “to give him a better life and continue working in this field.”

Mario Giron

The 17-year-old student from Monterrey, Nuevo León, is fulfilling a goal he set himself some time ago when he joined the reality show. “If I win, I would share the money with my parents, they have been the foundation of everything I have achieved in my life,” he says.

“La Academia” airs every Sunday at 8:00 p.m. on Azteca Uno.
