Young People Building the Future gave priority attention to areas of high marginalization – El Sol de México

The Program Young People Building the Future (PJCF), which reached 2,471 of the 2,477 municipalities in the country, He put emphasis on the marginalized or those with higher levels of povertyThus, 17.5 percent of young people live in municipalities with high and very high marginalization and 14.2 percent live in indigenous communities.

And of Young people living in indigenous municipalities, were 420 thousand 779which corresponds to 14.2 percent of the total. They were mainly young people from the Wixárica, Naayeri, O’dam and Mexikan territories, communities historically affected by insecurity and abandonment.

In the project of the Mayan TrainHE 40,975 young people benefited of the 112 municipalities of influence, when assigned for training in the work centers.

The young people with disabilities who participated in this program, were 17 thousand 701in the same period. 0.6 percent of the beneficiaries. The types of disabilities of these people were motor, sensory, i.e. auditory, visual, language and communication. Also mental.

With an emphasis on young people living in municipalities with high rates of violence, 806,958 women and men between 18 and 29 years old joined the workforce. This is 27.1 percent.

How many people have been trained in Youth Building the Future?

Since the start of the PJCF until June 30, 2024, 1,727,251 women received training, monthly financial support, and health insurance. They represented 58.1 percent of the beneficiary population.

The federal government invested 128 thousand 516 million, 520 thousand 141.33 pesos in these young beneficiaries of the PJCF.

It was in the private sector where these people received the most training. and 561,599 workplaces; in the public sector, the establishments that provided training to these young people were 7,435 and in the social sector, 4,728, for a grand total of 573,762.

The areas of interest of the youth were Culture and Sports, Administrative activities, Sales and Commerce, Agricultural activities, Apprenticeship of Trades, Training for Services; Knowledge of Electricity, Industrial aspect and related to Professionals.

In the last year, between September 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024, the entities with the highest number of beneficiaries of the PJCF were Veracruz, Guerrero, State of Mexico and Tabasco.

And in the 79 municipalities of the Tehuantepec Isthmus Interoceanic Corridor project, 14,166 apprentices participated.
