Cho Seung Youn, WOODZ, officially announces his military enlistment

A few hours ago, the KPop world was paralyzed when the renowned artist known as WOODZ either Cho Seung Youn has announced his plans to enlist in the South Korean army, a decision that the BTS boys have also made.

On this December 10, the former member of the groups x1 and UNIQ He personally informed his fans that next year he will join the army, with January 22, 2024 being the exact day on which his new adventure will begin. For the announcement, WOODZ made a statement through a letter, which says:

Hello, I’m Cho Seung Youn

I write this letter because I have to tell something directly to my fandom. My country has called me and I will serve in the army starting next January 22, 2024.

I had always seen the issue of enlistment as very far away, but now it has arrived and I have been thinking about it since last year. For a moment, I will be a little further away from you than I am now, and I will do my best in my military duty, not as an idol or an artist, but as Cho Seung Youn.

It’s been almost 10 years since I debuted and started working as an Idol, and I can definitely say that these years have been full of happy and beautiful memories that I made together with you, my fans, so I feel very grateful.

I will come back healthier from my process, so please stay happy and healthy, wherever you are. Thank you all for always much more love than I deserve.
