For this September 16, a video has gone viral EXO’s Baekhyun smoking electronic cigarettes inside a restaurant in Macau, China, which caught the attention of his fans and netizens. The video shows the idol talking to another person in a corner while smoking, accompanied by other people who could be staff members.
After what happened, the artist’s agency, INB100shared a formal apology to ease the chaos that is being created after the idol’s act. The apology says:

We sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable following Baekhyun’s recent indoor smoking controversy.
At the time, the idol and our staff were completely unaware that e-cigarettes were banned in Macau. During a meal with the staff after performing in the Chinese city, Baekhyun unconsciously used one of these devices while chatting with others.
Of course, our client feels deeply sorry for disappointing many of his fans due to his careless actions.
Both the idol and our company will be more vigilant to ensure that such incidents do not occur again and we promise not to disappoint our fans in the future. For obvious reasons, we will also strive to act more maturely.
