SM Entertainment agency is criticized for its plans for Aespa’s next album

For a few hours now, the South Korean agency SM Entertainment has become a trend after the multiple criticisms it has received after its negative planning regarding the new album in English that the famous group will release. Aespa.

On November 8, the renowned agency shared in its official account the plans it has registered for the first three months of next year 2024. In this publication the label launched a schedule of planned concerts, as well as Aespa’s upcoming musical releases. SM Entertainment surprised its fans after revealing that they also had plans for Suho from EXO, Endy from Red Velvet and RIIZE or other artists, but the most striking thing was what they have prepared for the girl group and their album in English.

After the publication, fans of the South Korean group did not take long to criticize SM’s plan. These criticisms mainly arise from the fact that Aespa, who debuted in 2020, still have fans waiting for a full-length album in the Korean language, and are already preparing content of this magnitude in English, to have greater international reachand they are not even able to please their local market.

Many fans took to the social network x (formerly Twitter) to express how upset they were with the record label’s plans, criticizing SM Entertainment for not releasing a Korean album and prioritizing overseas audiences.

«Are they referring to a full-length album in English? They don’t even have an album like this in Korean«, «It’s surprising to hear these words about an album in another language. They have only released mini albums in Korea and have never had a full-length album in the same language.«Were some comments from fans who did not believe what they were seeing.
