Heat in CDMX: temperatures of up to 32 degrees are expected – El Sol de México

Mexico City will experience two weeks of intense heat. The local Comprehensive Risk Management Secretariat reported that from March 2 to 16, maximum temperatures between 28 and 32 °C are expected in Mexico City.

Through its bulletin issued at 11:00 a.m. on March 1, the agency explained that during this period clear skies with high rates of ultraviolet radiation are expected.

Mostly clear skies are also forecast, without rain, a high concentration of pollutants and some gusts of wind with dust devils.

The recommendations in the face of intense heat are:

Do not expose yourself to the sun for prolonged periods of time and stay in cool, ventilated places.

Avoid eating in public as food decomposes quickly.

Wear light, light-colored clothing, use sunglasses, an umbrella, a hat and a cap.

According to the Tacubaya Observatory of the National Meteorological System, the maximum temperature recorded by that station was 33.9 degrees on May 9, 1998.
