The College of Bachelors classes will start next week after the union and educational authorities they arrived at a agreement on labor matterswhich is why the strike began on November 16.

The Federal Center for Conciliation and Federal Labor Registry reported that interested parties agreed to a 4 percent salary increase for the ones workers they will lift the step in 20 campuses and general offices.

Last November La Prensa reported on the outbreak of the strike in schools in Mexico City and the metropolitan area. Due to the above, nearly 100 thousand students were left without classes.

Among the unionists’ requests was compliance with the offer of the President Andrés Manuel López Obrador that no worker should earn less than 16 thousand pesos.

The workers’ protests affected mobility in the capital, as occurred on November 22 on roads such as Avenida Cien Metros, Eje 3, Periférico Oriente, among others.
