Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulated this Thursday to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, for the “path of progress and reforms” on which he has taken Mexico since he took power five years ago.
This face to face, the first between Xi and López Obrador, It occurred on the margins of the summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC, in English) taking place this week in San Francisco, California, USA.
Mexico has not yet reported the content of the meeting; but on the social network X (formerly Twitter), the Chinese ambassador to Mexico, Zhang Run, explained that Xi congratulated López Obrador for having taken Mexico along a “path of progress and reforms, achieving important advances in national development.”
