They seize almost a ton of marijuana in Tiquicheo, Michoacán – El Sol de México

The National Guard (GN) assured almost a ton of marijuana in the municipality of Tiquicheo de Nicolás Romero, in the state of Michoacán.

It was during a security tour in the town of El Recodo that elements of the GN located a black truck parked on the Tiquicheo-Tuzantla highway.

The agents approached the vehicle to support the drivers in case they were experiencing any problems with the unit, however, there were no crew members in the truck.

A review was done and they found 216 packed packages in a cylindrical shape in the cabin, which had dried green grass inside, characteristics of marijuana. They were fully insured 970 kilos of marijuana.

After the discovery, a perimeter security operation was carried out to try to locate the owner of the truck. So far the owner of the car has not been found.

The drug and the seized truck were made available to the competent authorities, who are already carrying out the corresponding investigations.
