Deputies seek meeting with SHCP to clarify pre-Economic Policy Criteria 2025 – El Sol de México

The Commission of Finance and Public Credit of the Chamber of Deputies agreed that will request a meeting with the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) with the objective of analyze the General Pre-Criteria of Economic policy for the fiscal year 2025.

The president of the commission, deputy Luis Armando Melgar Bravo, commented that the presentation of the next PRE-Economic Criteria document is an act of republican responsibility and added that with themthe SHCP will anticipate the economic outlook that will serve as reference for the markets.

Patricia Terrazas Baca, PAN deputy and member of the Commission, assured that the meeting is of utmost importance, since the Tax authorities has to explain the projections of the document they prepared. Among them the growth of the GDP 3 percent by 2025, the inflation annual increase of 3.3 percent, the 3 percent increase in federal contributions, as well as 3.07 percent for priority programs.

In turn, Morena deputy Daniel Gutiérrez Gutiérrez assured that the Pre-Criteria are clue To understand the configuration of the Income Laws of next year. Therefore, he stressed that this economic project seeks to maintain a stable economy with GDP growth greater than 3 percent.

Augusto Gómez Villanueva, PRI legislator, agreed that it is relevant for the Commission to meet with the representatives of the SHCPto go deeper into the analysis of the variables that influence the budget construction for next year.

On March 27, the Lower House received from the SHCP the Pre-Criteria for 2025 that contain fiscal and macroeconomic estimates, as well as a GDP growth forecast of 2 to 3 percent.
