Russia denies that the US warned that Crocus City was a possible terrorist target – El Sol de México

The spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, María Zajárova, denied this Wednesday the information of the Washington Postin which it is argued that The US warned Russia about a possible terrorist attack in the concert hall Crocus City Hall.

According to Zajárova at a press conference, Moscow is used to statements from Washington “that are later denied” by themselves.

“I would like to ask you to present some concrete facts on this matter,” the spokesperson responded to the journalist who asked her about the article published by ‘Washington Post’, citing anonymous official sources from the United States.

Zakharova insisted that the American side must reveal “when and to whom they transmitted the information” about the terrorists’ plans to attack the Russian concert hallwhich on March 22 left at least 144 dead and more than 500 injured.

The secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, insisted today on blaming Ukraine and the United States for being behind the attack on one of the main Russian concert halls, where artists such as Plácido Domingo, Jennifer López and Elton John.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said today he did not know if the US had warned Russia about a possible attack on Crocus City Hallsince it is information that “is shared directly between special services.”

Fifteen people have been arrested so far in connection with the attack, four of them for their direct participation in the shooting and explosions that took place at the concert hall.

The independent press has criticized the Kremlin for focusing all its efforts on repressing internal dissent and opponents of the war in Ukraine, and forgetting about real criminals and threats to state security.
