Shooting at Houston church leaves several injured – El Sol de México

A five-year-old boy was seriously injured during a shooting at a religious center on the afternoon of February 11 in the city of Houston, Texas, in the United States.

Troy Finner, Houston police chief, detailed in a press conference that the minor accompanied the woman who opened fire at the Lakewood Church, one of the largest in the country.

The woman, around 30 years old, entered the property with a rifle, as well as a backpack. There were off-duty police officers at the scene, who shot the woman to death.

However, in the middle of the exchange of shots, the five-year-old minor who was accompanying her was injured. It is currently unknown whether the bullet that hit the child was fired by the woman or by the officers who killed her, but the Houston police chief maintained that her injuries are the woman’s responsibility.
