Where will the CDMX Sundance Film Festival be – El Sol de México

For 40 years the Sundance Film Festival has dedicated itself to projecting and disseminating the best of independent cinema from the United States andrecently, from other parts of the world. Its reach and success have been such that in the last five years the festival has opened extensions of its film exhibitions in London, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

This is a selection of 12 feature filmsbetween documentaries and fiction, of which 10 were part of the last edition and two of the penultimate one. “For us, going to Mexico in the following weeks will be very important; filmmakers will be able to connect with producers and distributors. Mexico, the meeting point of the Sundance Film Festival

After remembering that the relationship between Mexico and the Sundance Film Festival dates back approximately a decadewith some collaborations within the Morelia International Film Festival, Alejandro Ramírez, general director of Cinépolis, highlighted the intention of returning to Mexico City and this extension of the festival into a meeting point for audiences, filmmakers, producers and new generations.
