Former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori was released this Wednesday in compliance with an order from the Constitutional Court, despite the fact that the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IDH Court) asked the authorities of the Andean country to refrain from doing so.

Fujimori left the “Barbadillo” prison, in the east of Lima, one day after it became known that the TC ordered “the immediate freedom of the favored person” by restoring the effects of the pardon granted to him in 2017 by the then president Pedro Pablo Kuczynski. .
