President Andrés Manuel López Obrador defended the former minister president of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, Arturo Zaldivarafter a investigation against him for allegedly attacking judicial independencelack of professionalism, bribery, diversion of public resources, abuse of functions and illicit enrichment.
“They are lynching him, right? It is a political public lynching against Arturo Zaldivar“Lopez Obrador said in his morning conference.
The investigation stems from a Anonymous complaint presented against former minister Arturo Zaldívar Lelo de Larrea and more than 20 workers of the Judicial Branch, judges and magistrates.
Given this, López Obrador showed his support for the retired minister.

The federal president disqualified the ministers of the Court for giving “speed” to the anonymous complaint against Zaldívar, he even said that the entire Judiciary “it’s rotten”.
López Obrador also denied that there was no crime for having “intervened”as he explained in one of his conferences, so that former Minister Arturo Zaldívar would influence the current cases that reached the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nationduring his administration.
