The celebration of Day of love and Friendship will leave a deconomic error of 28 billion pesos in the country, anticipated the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco Servytur).
According to the organization, the spending by Mexicans on gifts and services for this one February 14th and the following weekend will be 12 percent older to that registered on the same date last year.
“The main sectors that will benefit will be lodging, restaurants, department stores, candy stores and flower shops,” Concanaco said in a statement.
According to Inegi, in the country there are 38,545 establishments dedicated to the retail trade of perfumery and jewelry items, as well as 33,465 whose activity is related to the sale of natural plants and flowers.
He business body highlighted that in the country there are three thousand 343 motels who will benefit from the celebrations of this date, mainly in Veracruz, Puebla and the Mexico stateentities that concentrate the greatest number of these business.

Héctor Tejada Shaar, president of Concanaco, highlighted that this celebration will be an important driver for the national economy given that the tertiary sector represents more than 60 percent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
“The Day of Love and Friendship will contribute to the economic growth of the country and the well-being of families that depend on formal commerce,” the manager stressed.
