Mexico City today surpasses its historical heat record – El Sol de México

The Tacubaya Observatory, of the National Meteorological Service, recorded this Monday the 15th a temperature of 34.2 degreeswith which exceeded the measurements of the last two decades.

The hottest day in the history of the city, recorded by that Observatory, was the May 9, 1998. That day the capital of the country had a temperature of 33.9 degrees.

This April 15, 2024 also broke another record. It is the hottest day in recorded history for a month like this.

The maximum temperature recorded for the month of April occurred on April 10, 2009when the then Federal District reached 33.7 degrees.
