Niall Horan, former One Direction, falls in love with Corona Capital 2023 – El Sol de México

Singer Niall Horan, former member of One Direction, felt very happy to return to Mexico within the framework of the Corona Capital 2023 festival. This was stated during his show on the Vans stage, where he made his fans fall in love with songs like “This town ”, “Nice to meet ya” and “Black and white”.

“Hello Mexico, what’s going on?” he said in Spanish. In English she continued: “When I think of Mexico, I think of my favorite memories of my entire career and most have been in this same space. Next door at Foro Sol I have had the best shows and here we go again. We’re back baby, I’ve missed you.”

The screens occasionally focused on the audience, showing several fans moved to tears. Some of them carried signs with messages for the artist. “I’m grounded, but I came anyway” and “I’ve been waiting for you since 2011, can you give me a hug?” are some of the phrases they wrote.

The artist also included some covers in his repertoire, such as “Everybody wants to rule the world”, by Tears for Fears, and “Story of my life”, by One Direction, the band that launched him to fame.

“All these years that have allowed me… I don’t speak Spanish,” he joked, when he was interrupted by the screams of his fans.

“All these years that I have come to Mexico have shown the world why I have the best fans in the world. There are things I didn’t think would happen and you make it possible. Thank you very much for allowing me to continue here,” she stressed.

Meanwhile, the band Metronomy performed on the Corona Cero stage, this being their last performance in Mexico City before taking an indefinite hiatus from their career.

Songs like “405” and “Everything goes my way”, “Right on tine”. and even an instrumental fragment of “Cielito Lindo” made up her setlist.

“Some of you may know that this will be our last visit to Mexico,” said Joseph Mount. “But not for long, I make you a promise, when we tour again, Mexico will be our first stop. I dedicate this song to you who live in our favorite country,” he added before singing “The look.”
