Among the reasons for this drastic measure is the interest of Jim Ratcliffe, the director of INEOS who acquired 25% of the club. He faced the monumental task of injecting around £380m to modernize the stadium. But it is a necessary investment to keep the great “Theater of Dreams” alive.
Within the club they have already started with some architectural studies. It is said that the new project would be carried out by the Populous Architectural Company, those in charge of the Tottenham Stadium, inaugurated in 2019. Christopher Lee, the director of the construction company, hopes that with the arrival of the new partner to the team, the idea can be launched as soon as possible. They consider that “A very detailed exercise must be carried out on what should be done in the stadium.”
