Po, from Kung Fu Panda, celebrates Chinese New Year in CDMX – El Sol de México

This Friday the celebrations began for the arrival of the Chinese New Year in Mexico City, and Po, star of Kung Fu Panda, was present to mingle with those attending the Chinatownlocated a few blocks from the historic center.

As part of the celebration, the traditional Dragon Dance, which ran through part of Dolores Street and ended inside a restaurant, where the character also participated, dancing and sharing martial arts movements. .

This festival marks the beginning of Year of the Wood Dragonwhich starts on February 10 and ends on January 28, 2025. This animal is the fifth in the eastern zodiac, and symbolizes good luck, strength, and health.

The activities carried out this Friday are part of the promotion of the film “Kung Fu Panda 4”, which follows the journey of “Po” in search of the next Dragon Warrior. The fourth installment of the animated saga opens in theaters on March 14.
